I noticed that several roads previously tagged as highway=residential were recently changed to highway=path, and I wanted to ask if you could share the reasoning behind this update. Is there ongoing construction or a restriction that currently prevents motor vehicle access, or was there another factor that led to reclassifying these roads as paths?
According to the OSM Wiki, highway=residential is typically used for roads that provide access to homes, allow general motor vehicle access, and form part of the local road network serving residential traffic (highway=residential). Since highway=path is generally reserved for non-motorized routes or ways not intended for regular vehicle use and the highway wiki states that "highway=* distinguishes roads by function and importance rather by their physical characteristic", I just wanted to confirm whether conditions on the ground support this change.

I had an additional thought regarding this. Since construction is currently on hold and there are broken trunk segments along Corredor Norte between way/1473718363 and way/1454813047, the road does not currently function as a high-performance, state strategic corridor. What would you think about temporarily downgrading those broken sections to highway=unclassified and tagging them as construction=trunk or highway:proposed=trunk to accurately reflect the current on-the-ground situation? This will help keep the map true to its current state and not confuse other OSM users that there is an issue with broken data in the area. Let me know what you think!

I noticed that you had remodeled the intersection in this area. I would like to point out that both Mapillary (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1840951329397684), KartaView (https://kartaview.org/map/@-16.655590337479936,-49.247016065666116,19z), and recent aerial imagery indicate that the connection (way/1218127584) between the dual carriage road is actually not in existence as there is a grass median and no signs of construction. The direction of the oneway lane leading up to that segment (way/128976023) is against the flow of traffic on Avenida Vereador José Monteiro (way/919354654) and would create an unsafe maneuver even if there was a break in the median. All available evidence, including vehicle directions observed in ground and aerial imagery, contradicts the direction you've specified. Further, this would indicate way/1216672772 would have to support both directions of traffic and is not a oneway.

Is it possible the city map mentioned in this changeset comment is somewhat outdated or incorrect at this particular location?
If you strongly believe your edits reflect the current configuration of the intersection it would be appreciated if someone could survey the entrance and exit lanes and take Mapillary images to upload for the benefit of the larger OSM community. This would aid in making sure reversions in the modeling are less likely in the future.

Hello Cserpell, this does appear to be a turn restriction only for buses. Another person has already removed this restriction. This maneuver should no longer be blocked. Thank you and happy mapping!
