It's what my friend advised. He uses Openstreetmap for footpaths and rights of way that type of thing. A while, back before I started mapping, I was driving with a Navigation aid that used OSM mapping and encountered a potentially dangerous navigational error. He sorted it out by changing the roundabout from trunk to link. To be honest I do not go that deeply into things. I try to get mapping as physically accurate and as simple as possible and have corrected a number of really dangerous issues including one roundabout which had a counterclockwise flow. But OK I will not do that on future mapping.
