| 152796308 | over 1 year ago | Hello HikeAndMap. I made this edit as it matched with the slight shift in Strava. Combined that with Maxar SecureWatch Imagery 2024-03-08, I felt that the realignment fit appropriately. For clarity, Apple has an agreement with Maxar to use their more recent imagery to edit OpenStreetMap, which is not publicly available for editing OpenStreetMap. I hope this answers your question. Have a great day! |

I see that you also sent those to my colleague Andrew previously on Telegram too. Here is the link to the reverted changeset (changeset/104263551). Please let me know if there is anything else you think is inaccurate. |
| 102607838 | over 4 years ago | Hi DenisJu, thank you for the feedback on this feature. I noticed there were some issues with data offsets compared to OSM GPS traces and Strava traces that can be seen on the river centerline where people are traveling down the river (ex. osm.org/#map=17/42.240663739502494/19.875486364556895, osm.org/#map=17/42.26248605000883/19.911833901387027). To me it appeared that Maxar Premium Imagery fit well with the alignments I made. Unfortunately I did have to make simplifications and delete nodes when making these adjustments to a more georeferenced location. If you agree, I can reverse these changes to your previous version with the knowledge that there may be offsets in some locations that can be updated separately. Please let me know what you think and thank you for reaching out, I appreciate it! |
