I figured out what happened. My OHM custom OSM server address was not in preferences, and so it uploaded OHM node data to OSM. Hence the node collisions. I will request the changes to be reverted.

None of the data here was sourced from Google, The source:name you are referencing was a private blog. The title of said blog merely contained the words Google Maps.

The only ones I had seen offhand were in China. I stopped it before it caused any further damage. Again, they weren't dragged. I created the nodes in JOSM. It seems that node IDs may have been duplicated. It's the only explanation I can guess. As for the ways that cross highways, this was still a work in progress that I was cleaning up, but I halted the upload when I saw the stretched nodes.
