The name unclassified is a little misleading

"the term "unclassified" originates from the UK road classification system, where it means 'too minor to earn a classification number'. Confusingly, it is indeed a classification, meaning 'very minor road'"

Why did you change all these minor roads to residential? None of them access any houses and are used for local traffic within the commercial areas

openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:highway=residential

highway=unclassified

"Most traffic on a residential road will be for the access to residential properties. Roads carrying primarily through traffic, or non-residential traffic, should be tagged with a different highway tag (e.g. unclassified, tertiary) as appropriate (see highways)"

Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap!

The building shapes look pretty accurate, but you should square them to make them neater. You can square by right clicking the building and clicking the square button, or by pressing Q while the building is selected. This will move the nodes around, so they are all 90-degree angles. Sometimes that can mess up your shape a little (like moving a corner away from where it needs to be), especially if the original shape wasn't drawn very square. If that happens, you can just move the incorrect nodes back to where you want them and square it again and it should square closer to the correct positions. You can also repeat that as many times as you want until it's how you want it.

Also, a very minor thing: when the imagery is at an angle, you can draw the roof and then move the building (Right click -> Move or press M with it selected) to be positioned at the base of the building; otherwise, it will be positioned where the roof is for that imagery's perspective instead of where the walls actually meet the ground. There are some images to visualize what I mean here: osm.wiki/Roof_modelling#Drawing_at_the_roof
You usually do not need to worry much about this since these houses are not very tall, but it can help in situations like this
osm.org/edit?node=13954508864#map=21/33.8305747/-78.8583149
where the mapped fence ends instead of connecting to the house, because the house shape is on the roof instead of the base of the building where the fence connects to.

I don’t know exactly, but I think it’s around every 1-2 weeks for OSRM

You can also take a look at these wiki pages to learn what road type you should use:

- Service roads
highway=service

- Residential Roads
highway=residential

- List of all highway tags and links to their respective page:
highway=*

183933473

In OSM, we map what is on the ground, highway= is a important tag and most things will not recognize the line as a road without it. OSM data is used for many purposes other than routing

osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don't_map_for_the_router

This routing issue was likely caused by a one-way road that was previously in the wrong direction and will fix when it gets a data update

183933473

None of these are residential roads. and please stop removing the highway tags from the parking lot to prevent routing.

Why were all the highway tags removed?

You changed a contact:facebook tag to "ptlrikin@gmail.com", emails should go into "email" or "contact:email" fields instead

Welcome to OpenStreetMap!

1. You deleted the building key. That should be kept since this is also a building.
2. The syntax for opening_hours is incorrect. See opening_hours=* for info on the correct syntax, and you can also use this website to make it way easier: https://projets.pavie.info/yohours/

Also, what's the source?

Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! You would create a node on the road and tag that as a gate. You changed the entire road to a gate

Welcome to OpenStreetMap! You added address info to an entire street and changed the street name to include a house number. This is a live database and is visible to everyone using OSM data. To add addresses, you would instead create a point over where the address is and add the address tags to that. Also see osm.wiki/Mapping_private_information

Hi, I just converted it back to a point.

The library is just 1 thing in the building though; it's not the entire building

Hello, welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Make sure to expand "Ct" to "Court" in the street names (osm.wiki/Abbreviations ) and also connect the streets together

You added "turn=foreward" and "turn:lanes=1", The values don't match what the wiki says you enter from what I've read

turn=*

Hi sorry for late response, i agree it looks like shop=fast_food is deprecated. i don't know how that got added, i don't usually manually add tags, i mostly choose from the iD interface.

I just went back and applied the correct tag
