Please don't make edits based on how other maps do things. Make your edits based on your local understanding of things.

Therefore it's probably be fine to ignore the general osm consensus on mapping schools in this case, but I'm curious to see what you think. amenity=school

Have you confirmed their location with an on the ground survey? I hate to be a bummer, but the bing sat imagery is of downtown before significant renovations. Basically none of it is good anymore, unless you've recently been on the ground and know what remains and what has changed.

Is the road connecting to this a major highway? (Equivalent to the nearby Southeast Expressway)

It seems like this is a new development, so do you perhaps have a GPS Trace you could upload to confirm the position of the road?

The wiki seems to disagree with itself because osm.wiki/Great_Lakes this says that the lakes are to be tagged as natural=coastline.
