almost 2 years ago | The wikipedia page for open-air museums list Colonial Williamsburg as a key North American example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-air_museum. So I have to disagree. A Park is an urban, managed greenspace, and Williamsburg is so much more than that.
over 2 years ago | As this structure is designed to let water continuously flow over the top of it, I think the original tagging of it as a weir was correct. What prompted you to change it to a dam?
over 2 years ago | Just the type of tree in the area. An imperfect tagging, but the best I could find at the time.
over 6 years ago | I think I've removed all the duplicates in this area now. Let me know if you find others. Thanks again, Mark!
over 6 years ago | Thanks for letting me know, Mark. You're right, it looks like this import did end up with some duplicated buildings that need to be cleaned up. This imported building data is somewhat dated, and I find that the "Mapbox Satellite" imagery is the best reference in this area. I'll try and get this cleaned up later today.
almost 7 years ago | I found the info regarding why it's best to use a dedicated account for import. I'll start doing that now, thanks.
almost 7 years ago | What would be the advantage of using a dedicated import account?
over 7 years ago | It's probably better to model the interior pathways as corridors instead of foot paths. See osm.wiki/Simple_Indoor_Tagging
over 7 years ago | Much needed update to the Ice Age Trail in that area. Well done!
almost 8 years ago | Looks good now. Thanks!
almost 8 years ago | The problem crossings can be seen on this site, which updates every two weeks to show mapping errors: https://www.keepright.at/report_map.php?zoom=17&lat=42.99735&lon=-89.43189&layers=B0T&ch=0%2C30%2C40%2C50%2C70%2C90%2C100%2C110%2C120%2C130%2C150%2C160%2C170%2C180%2C191%2C192%2C193%2C194%2C195%2C196%2C197%2C198%2C201%2C202%2C203%2C204%2C205%2C206%2C207%2C208%2C210%2C220%2C231%2C232%2C270%2C281%2C282%2C283%2C284%2C285%2C291%2C292%2C293%2C294%2C295%2C296%2C297%2C298%2C311%2C312%2C313%2C320%2C350%2C370%2C380%2C401%2C402%2C411%2C412%2C413&show_ign=1&show_tmpign=1
almost 8 years ago | Nice work on adding sidewalks. One suggestion: be sure to connect places where a sidewalk crosses a road, marking the node as either a Street Crossing or a Crosswalk, as appropriate.
almost 8 years ago | Changeset comment is from previous one, foot path was added
almost 8 years ago | I merged that little section in with the rest of Ashbourne Lane. All good now.
almost 8 years ago | Thanks. I think still there's a small section of what should be Ashbourne Lane that's currently named Harland Circle. Not sure when that happened.
almost 8 years ago | I think you may have accidentally removed a section of Ashbourne Lane or Dartmoor Drive in this change as there's now a gap in the road. Can you check?
almost 8 years ago | Right, agreed. I'll run through them again and update those. Thanks for catching that.
almost 8 years ago | That's always a bit tricky. Which footway are you referencing? Urban paths mainly used by pedestrians I tend to mark as footway.
almost 9 years ago | Thanks, man! Yeah, it's been fun lately.
