I am new to OSM, but have been enjoying updating my town. I presume you mean my label "Permissive Path, accessible ~3 hrs either side of low tide, slippery in places"? This is a tricky one. I don't make a habit of this - but SUSTRANS got in to trouble from the landowners for marking the path on the land on a new map, when its on the coast and not a right of way. Its tidal, so needs to be labelled as such, but the rest has been suggested by the landowners. It's not currently a right of way, as they keep mentioning on local Facebook groups, and despite it being below high tide, it is not owned by the Crown/Duchy. But it's been walked for goodness-knows how long by locals, and whilst they are happy for it to be marked on OSM, they were only happy BECAUSE I labelled it as such. If I'm not allowed to label it like I have, I will have to delete the path, which would be a shame. Any advice welcome. Jamie

Okay, I'll try not to cause more problems, but I would appreciate you popping back in a few weeks to check I haven't done anything else problematic in the area. I have been trying to tidy up the boundaries between land-use polygons a bit, because I think it looks rather clunky with slithers etc. But now I know why the slithers exist, because it's too easy to cause corruption when bringing things together, it seems! There seems to be quite a delay between making changes and them being displayed at different zoom levels, so finding it harder to check my work, than I had hoped. I'm hoping that will all correct itself and its not something I'm doing wrong. Jamie

I am new to OpenStreetMap. Well, I'm new to editing OpenStreetMap - I've known about it for years, but only with local dog-walking during lockdown am I trying to improve the mapping in my area. Any idea what I am doing wrong to cause corruption? Or any tips on how to avoid it? I've mostly been adding footpaths and steps, but I'm pretty much done with that now. I had planned to add in the buildings of the town, though, ver the next few weeks. Any tips appreciated - I always check for errors before I approve by changes! Jamie
