Thanks for looking into this and for the update!
Just to close the loop: I reached out to the DWG earlier today to clarify that Mapbox has no connection to this account or tag.
The DWG has already issued a 0-hour block on the account ( osm.org/user_blocks/21217) to address the Google Maps source violation and requested that the user create a wiki page explaining their editor/setup before they can continue mapping.
We also checked and didn't find any other accounts using the `MapboxMapper` tag. If we spot any new ones popping up, we’ll definitely keep an eye out and report them.

I noticed your recent changeset #188113409, where the created_by tag was set to MapboxMapper.
Could you please let us know what app or editor (and version) you were using when making this edit?
We are trying to track down why that specific application is tagging uploads with Mapbox's name, as it wasn't made by our team. Any details on the software setup you used would be super helpful!
