The problem is actually with shell oddly enough. They can't seem to have consistent branding on what "bronze" and "silver" are. Some places I've seen 85, some 86, others 87. I also used StreetView to confirm my suspicions, over time there wasn't any major consistency even between gas stations. To make matters worse, even LLM models like ChatGPT's Luna (5.4?) seems to think they are the same (87 octane). In typical LLM fashion, asking independently for the octane rating changes the answer without any source to back it up. Because the tag is intended for "verified" octane ratings I've used the ones that 1) shown on the website, but also 2) would probably matter the most once Organic Maps and CoMaps implement the octane rating in their apps. Same thing with the "GTL Diesel" which is what the V-Power Diesel is, I have no way to verify a true match on the pump. I have yet to see a place that doesn't offer "regular" when these higher octane ratings are present. Interestingly, I've run into the same issue with the Esso stations, where their website just mentions "premium" without an exact octane rating. Costco at least keeps it simple with two different ratings.

tldr; No consistency within the brand, between stations, or historically. Kept it simple with octane ratings 91/93 since some car makers specify these for "optimal horsepower" and can be independently sourced/verified.

Just noticed this edit that overlapped the area I work on (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). I would consider any edit outside of the west coast (near Portland, Oregon, USA) to be a mistake that should be undone.
