Changeset When Comment

Hi Marc. I have removed this path. This path was an item I forgot to remove. However, there are many situations on golf courses where paths are not attached, when they go from tees to greens, for example. In this case though, the path was wrong. Please feel free to correct anything as you see fit. All the best, Steve.

This may be a result of using the browser to lay out the paths. I did not intentionally set this tag, and it seems to be set on all paths, so might be the default when using browser editing to create paths, perhaps?

The map is being used to generate data for loading into an app that makes golf courses for a video game (hence most of my edits are golf related).
The app searches for golf tags, so if the tags are changed, the paths will not be available to download.
The paths are duplicated because the existing paths were not very accurate. I need accurate splining to make a good model. I have the choice of either correcting and tagging existing paths, or adding a correct path. I chose to add so that I did not interfere with someone elses work.
Some paths connect, some do not. Sometimes I use a breach to indicate the path type is changing. Sometimes it is just that the connection is missed. It has no impact on the download for me if two paths do not connect.
Where there are paved areas, I use a cart path area to map out the area. These do not appear on the graphical rendering of the resulting map, but they do come in on the API download, so I am trying here to use a harmless way to get the info I need without messing up the map.
So, summary, all of these oddities are targeted at getting data from OSM but at the same time hopefully adding useful info to the maps.

Grand, thanks, Temp markers deleted, and legit items preserved.

Yes, these should have been removed and were missed, apologies. I believe I have now successfully removed them. Is there a way that I can search my edit set for *temp* so that I can try to clean up any other markers I have missed?

Hi Bernard. No problem.
Duplicate bunkers will be an error, so yep, they can go.
The greens are tagged landuse=grass because OSM suggests this as a tag upgrade, when editing. I don't mind either way.
I am making the changes and additions to bring the course into TGC 2019, a golf game, using Lidar data. The game uses the line to work out the club to suggest to the player. If you can leave the lines as is it, at least until I have the OSM data loaded, it will help me out. In about a week it should be done and the OSM course data can be changed without effecting me at all. If I do have to change any, I will try to revert them to play line after the process is complete.
For info, I will try to load fairways today.
Thanks,
Steve
