At the time of the edit (February 11, 2026), multiple datasets (speed and direction) were supporting this decision. I appreciate you sharing recent visual evidence from the location.

It might be a temporary situation, or I might have misinterpreted the movement of construction vehicles at that time.

We generally perform edits in OSM based on feedback from customers or TomTom’s local map experts. If we can verify this with other supporting evidence such as imagery or GPS traces, we perform the edits.

Thank you for reverting the changeset. Since that was a large area, I was planning to perform the edits in multiple changesets and was also going to address the turn lanes in consecutive edits. Based on TomTom’s GPS traces, there are still potential improvements based on section alignment. Please let me know if you’re OK with me performing those edits.

I checked with recent TomTom internal GPS traces and the data supports that the route is carrying traffic from B9993 to A9. Please let me know if it’s not the case if you are from the area, since I cannot verify with images.

Upon reviewing, I’d also agree that Mapbox seems to be more recent than ESRI imagery. I’ll keep that in mind in my future edits, thank you.
However, the road segment in question does not seem to be different in comparison between the two images, so I’m doubtful that the selection of imagery source would have any impact on assessing the classification.
Per OSM Wiki, a residential road is defined as the road “within” residential areas; and a living street would require an explicit street sign. So I’d have to disagree with your suggestions. But I realize I’m also wrong to tag it as a service road.
Upon further review in the Wiki, I think the most appropriate tag for that road would be “unclassified”, as it states “Use when the traffic is not just for residential access, even if residential properties may also be accessed by this road.”
If there is not an explicit documentation regarding the nuances in the national tagging practices within Romania, I’d like to propose using highway=unclassified for the section and would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions on this.

The Maproulette instruction was to split the geometry at node/1759328137 which I separated, the others were additional edits in the area.
I removed the one-way tag initially, but then I realized there wasn’t any source to confirm if it was a roundabout or a circular junction. When I reverted my changes, the one-way tag returned.
Based on available sources, I still think that it should be a junction=circular tag instead of a roundabout because we cannot confirm the presence of yield/give-way sign or related road markings.
Please let me know of your opinion on this matter.

I added the access=private tag based on ground level imagery where swing gates are visibly closed. It’s possible this parking lot is associated with the baseball stadium but I could not confirm with available Bing Streetside or Mapillary. If you know of a source that shows more detail I’m happy to refer to that and make further updates.

Thanks for reaching out. I added the access=private tag based on Bing Streetside where it indicates the parking lot is for faculty and staff.

Since there isn't a designated entry/exit for the parking area, and the lack of a designated parking aisle with on-the-ground markings, I would say that it wasn't an ideal representation on OSM.

Based on the OSM Community Guidelines (osm.wiki/Street_parking#Parking_position), the location would be best represented as a street-side parking tag on both the highway section and the parking area. The first example on the Street-Side Parking article (parking=street_side) also supports this suggestion.

I can go forward with the necessary adjustments if you also agree with this.
