And if I did break anything, please explain what I did wrong so I can get it right next time.

Okay

I also used Esri Clarity and DigitalGlobe imagery for this.

Actually, I might not be. Maybe JOSM's validator doesn't work for multipolygon buildings. I will investigate the issue and manually inspect the data I upload for multipolygon building-releated issues.

Good eye. I was about to fix it but it looks like you already did. Thanks.

Ok. Reverting. Thanks for you permission.

I would like permission to revert this changeset and the other associated with this particular area of the import because of a data merging issue. When you're importing a building that has multiple address points in it (or if it looks like it has multiple addresses), please don't merge any of the address points with the building. This is a problem because it implies that a building with multiple addresses has only one address.

This particular import square has some issues so I would like to revert this changesets and the other changesets you made for the same import task? Are you okay with this?

There are two main problems here. First, the buildings aren't aligned to the imagery. Second, and more importantly, doktorpixel said you deleted a church. I also saw some addresses being merged improperly. Like for a building that has multiple addresses, you merged one address with the building way. This implies that the building with multiple addresses has only one address. It would have been better to remove the building=* tags from the addresses and not merge any of them.

Hello. I need to inform you that it looks like you used a copyrighted map for this edit. For legal reasons, OSM strictly prohibits taking information from maps we don't have permission to use.

I have no doubt your intentions for this edit were good, but I think this changeset needs reverted. I'm not sure how to do that so I had to talk to the Data Working group about it.

Changeset comment should've been: Add a few addresses.

I'm sorry about the bad changeset comment. I got a conflict and I expected JOSM to refuse to upload anything. I did not know that I made any actual changes.

This is a good idea, but should I count it when tagging the number of lanes? i.e. for a road with one normal lane in each direction and a center turn lane, should it be tagged as lanes=2 and centre_turn_lane=yes or lanes=3 and centre_turn_lane=yes?

33870740

I already understand that forward and backward lanes refer to forward and backward relative to the direction of the way, but thank you for calling me out on this mistake. I'll rectify this ASAP.

Can do. Thanks. As a side note, if you ever need to contact me and get a response back in a reasonable amount of time, it's better to message me instead of simply leaving a comment on my changeset. This is because I don't get a notification on my OSM profile when you leave a comment, just an e-mail notification. And I sign in to OSM more often than I check my mail.

Well, thanks.

Also, thanks for being patient with me.

I just fixed this in changeset/31359073 . Thank you for informing my of my error.

I removed your traces of Kuhn's and Best Buy because they were all part of the same physical building, so I thought they should be tagged as such. However, upon reviewing the wiki, it mentions that divided buildings (like the one in question) are best tagged as separate buildings. So my removal of your traces was incorrect and I will not do such things in the future.

My error regarding the First Niagra bank was an honest mistake.

I get this information when I'm in the area. Either I've visited these stores before, I write down their location, or I take pictures of them. I'm sorry that I haven't tagged these with source=survey. Is that the correct thing to do?

30345218

I apologize. I shouldn't have done that. I can't remember why I did.
