| 169144205 | I really appreciate your kindness and taking the time to explain this new world to me. I rather enjoy the tedious task of resetting bounding boxes but now you have me worried. Would you say my edits in Melba are acceptable? I don't want to continue adding more detail if it will bog down the whole system. When I take a look at larger cities for inspiration, most buildings and pathways are nearly accurate and well detailed. Sometimes I learn new names for assigning areas and pedestrian areas. At the same time, loading is a real pain in these areas. It could be my own computer and memory usage. Anyway. Thank you again for mentoring me on this site. |

| 169144205 | Aha! Thank you for the explanation. Have you corrected the mistake already? By nodes. Do you mean points placed on building shapes? It would explain why the areas are simplified and why they don't line up with the actual shape of the buildings as shown in the satellite images. Besides the apartments, I have been messing around with rural areas and I assumed Ai was used to assign simple shapes or bounding boxes to represent structures. It bothered me that they didn't line up but it also explains why the program slowed down as I added more detail. If I understand what a node is, this is why a building with a complex shape is represented by a box with 4 corners.....or nodes?? The design is intentional? |
