I noticed (on Bing and Maxar imagery) that the vegetation and tree shadows follow the inferred watercourse so closely that we might not even need the fixme tags here. What do you think?

Hint: when reading a topographic (or contour) map, the elevation labels (the numbers) are almost always oriented to follow the direction of the slope.

Hi Angelo. If you look closely at the contour lines in this area, you'll discover that this waterway is impossible, because it's going uphill.

In fact, the connecting waterway you found, also suffers from the same issue. I think you'll want to revisit these , and just remove these two elements.

And, while you're doing that, I think the waterway to left, is mis-tagged as a "stream" rather than a river.

Some sections of these mapped waterways are better tagged with waterway=canal + usage=irrigation.

Please refer to the wiki for details.

A rule of thumb for waterways: if you can jump across it, it's a stream.

Good job. The vegetation is a good indicator that there's very likely a (small) waterway here.

You can also use a topo map to confirm this from DEM contours.

Also, ESRI imagery in this region is usually newer than Bing, so it makes sense to check out the layer, too.
