almost 2 years ago | Thank you for having another look at the signs and fixing the tags. Merry Christmas!
almost 2 years ago | Hi. I was looking at the intersection at osm.org/#map=19/40.58432/-124.25974. Are you sure these are give_way signs, not stop signs? On Bing imagery I can clearly see "stop" painted on the road here.
about 2 years ago | Deze parkeerplaats is toch ook voor bezoekers? Waarom heb je 'm op access=private gezet?
about 2 years ago | This is not "fixed". You wouldn't want downtown New York filled with tourism=attraction nodes for each film that was made there either, for the same reason. If there is some physical object that is recognisable as something that is related to filming, like permanent props, you could map them, but this doesn't seem to be such a case, so it shouldn't be mapped.
about 2 years ago | If the name does not meet verifiability standards, then why should it be mapped at all?
about 2 years ago | Reverted in changeset/144484369
about 2 years ago | Hi. Do this name & tourism tag meet the ground truth principle?
about 2 years ago | I intended to split this up between Europe and North America, but I accidentally uploaded the edits in both areas at once.
| 144369666 | about 2 years ago | Thank you, RedAuburn. Don't listen to mcliquid. These guidelines are worthless bureaucracy that are designed to make simple spelling fixes impossible to execute. I doubt more than a handful of people have ever followed them to the letter. Smaller bboxes also just lead to more complaints, country-sized bboxes aren't any less contentious than global ones. I tried this and people will just complain about the size again and they'll tell you to ask for discussions on their 3 different national communication channels. Next time it would help to discuss the changes on the Tagging page of the forum first, like I did here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/mass-edit-maxstay-tags-with-inconsistent-units/106155
Happy mapping! |
about 2 years ago | Oh wait, this was the area. Well, the traffic sign is already mapped explicitly, and the highway tag was wrong to begin with. I just didn't see what a description tag would add here.
about 2 years ago | Hi. We have better tags for that, like cyclestreet=yes or bicycle_road=yes, but that is not clear from this tagging. If you know which one, that would be helpful and then we can tag it properly.
about 2 years ago | Thank you for having a good look at this case. I think addr:country should not be on boundary relations at all, because boundaries don't have addresses. is_in=* fits better in this context.
about 2 years ago | Hi Gengix. Are you sure the name "Lol" of node/11144027438 is correct?
about 2 years ago | The castle isn't a locality; it's a castle. The place in the addressing scheme can probably be better mapped as a separate object, either as a node or with the boundary ending somewhere near the road.
about 2 years ago | sorry for the big and awkward bbox. I already reverted my accidental deletion of relation/3651152.
about 2 years ago | Hello. Please write more informative changeset comments, so other mappers can get an idea of what you are editing. Please have a look at osm.wiki/RU:Good_changeset_comments for the relevant guideline.
about 2 years ago | Please refrain from “disaster tourism” mapping like this. There’s no need for people from other parts of the world to race to be the first to translate their TV news into Gaza mapping.
about 2 years ago | Hello. I have reverted your changeset: changeset/143013572 Please do not engage in edit wars.

about 2 years ago | Hoi Leo. Op basis van welke bron heb je deze access tags toegevoegd?
