OK thanks

Yes it is around the blue line you drew. Thanks I understand now why it has been drawn there. As an unsophisticated Openstreetmap user I find a feature such as this to be confusing as it indicates a mapping artifact rather than a real feature, but that is my problem. It would be nice to be able to switch to a photographic view but no doubt there is a reason against this.

The area is -32.554395° 117.320466°
Thanks for the tip, my education continues. I would be grateful if you could contact TheSwavu to remove the road boundary as you know the tag requirements? Thanks

It appears to be part of a dataset
source geometry CAPAD2020.Who would be the mapper? I see little chance of any reponse from a government department having worked in one before I retired.

It is a surveyed road which has and never will be made as is in the reserve and leads nowhere. Unfortunately my mapping skills are insufficient. Thanks for your forbearance

Hi thanks for the information I can now see the Pingelly shire uncleared road? I must admit that I find these closed roads to be very confusing when I use Openstreetmap as a source of information when the photo view is unavailable. Is it possible to add a label 'closed road'? The road will never be cleared.

Thanks very much for explaining. You have clarified my perceived issues. I will stick to mapping in future.

Thanks very much my OSM editing ability is rudimentary. I wanted to discuss some issues I saw with mapping in this reserve and some track errors I noticed but can't work out how to have a discussion. I have a good understanding of the soil and vegetation types in the district and query the value of the coarse vegetation mapping added to OSM when there are very good programs such as Natural Resource Information (WA) that has accurate and consistent mapping. The 'scrub' mapped in OSM here lumped together distinctively different areas such as sandy and gravelly kwongan scrub, mallee woodland, and salt affected land. Similarly land parcels are easily accessed via other programs and in my opinion clutter up a map if they do not form any boundary. I would appreciate guidance regarding collaborative mapping and guidelines as to what should and shouldn't be mapped in openstreetmap

Thanks however in this case it is important that users know this line. The shire has created a RV camping zone that is below the line hence subject to periodic flooding. I would appreciate suggestions as my OSM proficiency is low
