Yes, it uses the green bridleway that is currently there. This was always the route, never the path I removed. That path was there once, not now thought as it's Very overgrown now

Yes, I mean remove that path from the relationship. So it is editing that relationship. You must have done this to change what I did, so thankyou. Its the 1st time id seen this message. Next time I will research it more to see how I do this.

Thanks for that. I couldn't work out how to remove a "relationship" to be able to delete a path that wasn't there.
Any advice?

That said, you could add a footpath from the hamlet houses to the road, immediately next to the road, as there isn't a footpath marked on the osm. There is one there though, which is backed up by the os Maps as well.
Then you could change the road itself to private.

Yes, I have walked this area extensively, and the footpaths and bridleways are there. They do cross fields, and also pass through the "hamlet" .
The road up to the "hamlet" from the A40 cannot be marked as private as it is also a footpath.
