Ah! To the best of my knowledge, carto renders all sport pitches as the same shade of green even if you set a color on it. I ran into a cool blue field in Texas one day and thought it would look cool on the map, but it was still green...

Hello! I don't generally add surface information unless it is something for me, so I have no idea on that.

As for it being used for marching band, I guess you could say it is an assumption, but it looks exactly like the practice fields I'm used to seeing here in Texas. Example: way/1324546234/history

Some are more elaborate than others, including football field markings and big circles (for some reason...).

The only other thing I think this could possible be is bus parking, but the lines seem to go in the wrong direction for that.

I am open to new information if you have local knowledge!

I am sorry for the late response. If you ask around people that map, you're going to get various answers. *My* method (not the "correct" one!) is to have both a node where the ways cross, as well as change the sidewalk way (where it crosses the road) to a marked/unmarked crossing.

Here is one I did when I first started mapping if you want to check it out:

One that I need to go back and fix in that area is adding curb nodes on each side of the crossing.

Hello toomuchfreetime! Building types are nice, but aren't necessary if you don't know them. Your edit looks fantastic, though iD seems to be complaining that the top gate needs to be a way and not a node.

Hello Krizza! Your new church node looks good. I wanted to say that the information appears to be duplicated on the church node and the "place of worship" way around the church.

There isn't a right or wrong way here, but the name should appear only on one of the objects. The place of worship area located *around* the church should not be tagged as a building.

Please check the "Religious Campus" area of the below OSM wiki article.

Hello eerib! Your new logging road and towers look great. I can't see one of them from aerial photos, but I'm sure you know whats there.

My only suggestion would be where your logging road crosses a waterway, I would update the road with either a bridge or a ford.

Hello valoriePH! Your sidewalk looks fantastic. One thing I would do when a sidewalk crosses a road, even if not marked, is add a crossing where the two ways cross.

I actually just noticed that while I was adding stop signs. Thanks for the heads up! It has been fixed.

I will keep that in mind! I may be making this up as I’m not next to my computer, but I feel like I tried your way first but the ID editor defaulted to adding a building tag so I felt like I was doing it wrong.
