The description "Polizei Köln" should probably go into an "operator="-tag. See: man_made=surveillance#Tags_to_use_in_combination

Same applies for the other cameras you added, I think.

My bad. Thank you for double checking and fixing.

Well given the vast variety of sources tags I've seen that are often inaccurate or unclear and the fact that I only made those changes in SC from afar, that I am absolutly certain about, I still think, that in this particular case it doesn't matter if some of my changes have a tag "survey" even though it's been a couple of days that I have actually surveyed those details.

But I still get your point and I do agree in general. It’s not up to me to decide what is a correct tag and what is not. Moreover, even though I know that I only made accurate changes, who am I to be trusted on that? - The changes should of course be verifiable by others and the acccurate source tag might help with that.
In my defense, I wasn’t aware of the tag set by SC, but now that I am, I will use it as intended to keep the data as accurate as possible. In the end I want to help make the map better and more accurate for everyone and not cause additional issues.

Ok, I get your point but I'm not sure if the strict differentiation between "local knowledge" and "survey" is very helpful. At what point does a survey become local knowledge? When I have walked a street earlier today and update details about it at home, is it still a survey or already local knowledge? And if I go back to that street and update it while looking at it, is it a survey even though I already knew all the details I was updating?

My point is: what purpose does the differentiation between "local knowledge" and "survey" serve, when it is so hard to define? Given that StreetComplete makes it very easy and comfortable to update details, while those changes require a lot of time and effort in Vespucci and other editors, I lean towards accepting that the source might not be 100% accurate in all the cases.

Hey,
No, of course not. But I know by fact what the surface of the streets in my neighborhood is or if there are streetlights. I obviously can not answer everything without checking in person but many things I just know because I have seen them hundreds of times.

It's a pitty though that street complete put all those changes in the same changeset. I didn't expect that and just realized. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way in the app to control this :-/

Thanks a lot for the extensive explanation! It makes a lot of sense to me. As I'm a newbie, I wasn't aware of any of those points. I will be more careful :)

Hi,
thanks for the comment. You are right. The change in Germany has nothing to do with those in Mexico. I didn't know that it was important to seperate them though. I will pay more attention to the scope of future commits.

Is there a way to undo and reorganize the changes?

Thx
