Hi, IIRC when the track was first built they didn't have lighting in place and the racing schedules had to be mindful of this. If they have now installed lighting then it would seem appropriate to update the tagging. Regards, Dave.

Ah, got you. Didn't see that. Would you like me to correct?
And yes i got this on Bing and it piqued my interest also.

Hi, i've changed these back to tracks. I live in the area and they are not service roads. Thanks.

Hi Mike,
Sorry that wasn't me. I was actually removing official from ways for the exact same reasons you mentioned.
I'll take a look at the way in any case and look to correct it as well.
Thanks

Hi Phil,
Sorry i'll correct myself. The implied tag for highway=footway is designated.
So i'm confused. I'm here to make the map better not worse. So in order to understand this better I would like to delve into this in a bit more detail. At the risk of sounding lazy do you know which way it was that caused the specific problem?
Thanks, Dave.

Sorry I didn’t reply because I didn’t agree with or didn’t understand your comments.
Maybe I don’t understand how removing an explicit tag when it’s exactly the same as an implied tag degrades the map. A highway=footway has an implied tag of foot=yes or am I misunderstanding how you are interpreting the data?
In any case I will not remove any tags like this in future.
Regards,
Dave.

Thanks Mike, I've corrected that now. The footpath actually runs parallel to the Bridlepath as it goes through the farmyard. Its a bit odd there and most people just take the footpath to avoid the dogs!

Thanks for the input, you are correct.
I was attempting to resolve routing problems by tagging roundabouts correctly.
I've split the road again and correctly tagged the bridges and rounds as junction=roundabout.
Regards.
