I think it is, @dankarran, thanks for spotting that. It looks like the tags on 7880918270 aren't rendered by Street Complete, so I'd not spotted this, sorry. I'll delete my new one.

Sorry, this is not to a fallen tree, that was autocomplete. This was a marked path from the cricket club to an existing path on the map.

No, I'm not. I think this is, once again, a case of answering Street Compete questions about streets with no signs and it's making inferences. I'll remove this, and I'm going to disable the speed questions on Street Complete as they seem to be causing controversy that I'm not intending to create. Sorry.

I think that sounds like a very sensible thing to do. Thanks very much indeed for your assitance.

Hmm, interesting. What I'd actually done was responded to the question about speed limits in Street Complete by saying that there was no sign. Presumably, it combined this with information on lighting and road layout and knowledge of the UK to come up with this.

So, technically, if it is an unlit single carriageway, that probably is the speed limit, though you'd be crazy to try it!

This does seem at least misleading, feel free to alter this if you'd like to.

Lee Carré: No problem at all, I'm always happy to help where I can, either through reports of contributions, it benefits the community as a whole. It's excellent to have so many people willing to contribute and get tot he root of the problem so quickly.

Mateusz Konieczny: Yes, you are absolutely correct there. It appears that v38.2 is the latest available to me through Google Play at present, I'll check for the best way of getting hold of v39 manually. I'll also make sure to keep an eye on things in the future in case this does recur. I also completely take your point on how some may create large bounding boxes by choice, thank you.

No problem at all, I'm a huge advocate of open source development, and even though I'm more hardware rather than software focus, I do try to help where I can. Sometimes it's only by reporting issues, but I know I appreciate it when people raise issues with my work when they can't help to fix it.

I think you're right that this is likely to be the root cause of the problem in this case, thank you!

Thanks very much for your understanding. After a lot of sleep, I'm now in a much better position to create the issue. I'll add a link to it when that's done.

This is an interesting one, as the changes were made with StreetComplete osm.wiki/StreetComplete — it looks like it failed to upload open changesets from the UK made weeks before the changes made in Santiago, and merged them together. This might be considered a bug in it; I'll try to file a issue once I've resolved my own jetlag. In the mean time, my apologies.
