Hi Matt - you've updated box 11/111 now it has separate numbers...but some of the other tags now seem inconsistent?

Hi John - post box S81 11 within this Changeset is unexpected - other local boxes are S36 and S81 11 exists in the expected location (Worksop area). Could this be a private box for delivery rather than operated by Royal Mail?

Thanks, Barry. 1182 however is one side of 182 on the High Street. Not unknown for RM to put the wrong plates in boxes though. Maybe if you're passing again and can confirm?

Hi Barry - the post box on Fullbridge - the reference is different to expected and in the collection_times tag. Are you able to double-check, please?

Hi Robbieonsea - this corresponds to the expected location of SP5 61 and is within SP5. Is this another where Royal Mail have the wrong reference on the box?

Hi BCNorwich - the "duplicate" was probably the result of a mistake on my part which I would now prefer to revert as the road layout change proved to be temporary. To do this I would need to revert your changeset/131622041 before my 131536431 and 131526558.
There will be a new junction here, eventually. Hopefully when that's done I'll make a better job of mapping it correctly!

Please confirm your agreement to the reversion.

Hi portishead_runner - would it be possible to check the post box reference here, please. It's not quite the number expected and most likely ends with D not Q.

Are these three boxes not in RG40 rather than GU40?

Hi fitzsimons - is the post box definitely CV45 236? That would be a new postal district but this area was within CV47

Hi Yorvik Prestigitator -

I checked this location back in April 2021, the K6 is still present but the post box and its brick pillar are gone (replacement box opposite Elmwood Close, just east). I can double-check at some point if you have more recent information but 99% convinced it had gone...

(This reminds me, I had a plan to add Historic England references to the K6s in the area.)

Hi LivingWithDragons...a query on post box LA1 6. node/3930655564 has this in the wall on the southern side (RBS?) but your Changeset has created 9653752065 on the northern side at NatWest. Has the box moved, please?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Stephen -

It's me again with another post box query. I see CF35 13 is in a new build area but Royal Mail lists as CF35 11 - they may have fitted the wrong plate though. RM has CF35 13 at Brocastle Manor (just off A48 near Corntown, if you're ever down that way and want to map some more new build)

Hi Alex - sorry, one more which came out via Robert Whittaker's reference checks https://osm.mathmos.net/postboxes/osm-ref-issues.html

Here I think it's RG8 again but perhaps the suffix is D rather than U?

(I must also learn about how Notes and StreetComplete work together)

Hi Mapper 8 - the post box reference here is in a strange format so possibly a mis-type, but the expected value is BB9 175. RM have been known to make mistakes though. Are you able to confirm, please?

Dan

Hi Alex - also this one would be expected as RG8 454.

Hi Alex -

Other information suggests the post box at the station should be RG8 62 (but RM do make mistakes). Are you able to check at some point, please?

Hi St Mary Clay - other information has the post box as BR7 461 (but RM do make mistakes) - are you able to double-check at some point, please?

Hi Rob - other information suggests the post box at the station is (or was) DT9 3, box 33 is elsewhere and mapped by you a while ago. Do you have notes or a photo to confirm the reference, possibly?

Hi JodaStephen - the post box in node/8825816223 appears to have the same details as node/8827140471 about 80 m north. Are there two with the same reference?

Regards,

Dan
