Changes done as described above with changesets 43168455 and 43168751.

Thanks for the status update! When I was there, the old path was closed by a barrier and it seems they already removed all of the wooden "bridges". Didn't know that this was just temporary for a repair, sorry. Will do as you suggested and restore the old path.
