Thanks! I created a separate polygon for the woods. Spring Hill wetlands still have tree cover, so I think a blanket "natural=wood" for Spring Hill is an improvement to the map.

OK, Spring Hill is the only one of the four that does not have any parking lots or water features within the multipolygon, so I replaced landuse=forest by natural=wood for Spring Hill and reverted my changes for the other three.

What do you think about Whittier area - way/29777918 ? This land is owned by the state rather than the town, does not have maintained trails, and is open for hunting/trapping. There is no cutting for timber. Should I remove landuse=forest from that area too?

Thanks TomPar. You are correct, this area is not cut for timber. This is wooded area with trails; Camp Acton also has campsites. Would "natural=wood" be more appropriate per the local mapping convention"? I reviewed osm.wiki/Forest for guidance, but could not find any reference as to what the local convention is.
