I believe youre right about the area east of Rwy 28.
The island vegetation is a mix of forest and scrub, the browner areas is sand blown in from the Sahara. This town hall meeting has several images from around the island and I have plans from Department of planning which can be obtained at inquiries@depp.gov.bs
