I noticed some highway classifications were updated in Albania (changeset/188089196), particularly around way/993627222#map=17/41.663348/19.673100&layers=N where I had recently made some classification edits. The current highway=trunk tagging creates a gap in classification between the primary and motorway sections, which breaks the continuity of the higher-level road network. Maintaining this continuity could help ensure that the classification accurately represents the road’s overall importance and function, rather than making a continuous major route appear to change in importance at an isolated segment.

After re-visiting this area, motorway could be a more appropriate classification for this north/south section of highway as the highways’ characteristics appear to continue north from way/577584918 until the point where the dual-carriageway stops. Ground level imagery also shows that the service highways connecting from the west are no longer at-grade intersections with the larger highway (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=41.66501654887591&lng=19.67320634999419&z=19.9&pKey=676203151810327) which aligns with OSM policy on motorways (highway=motorway). Additionally, these ways (way/1161299607, way/627271518) appear to be a continuation of the dual-carriageway to the south rather than a linking highway as defined here (highway=trunk_link) so might be best classified as a base highway instead of link. Would you be open to me making these updates to the highway? Thanks!

Hello Manuel Florian! Thank you for your contributions to the map. I see that you have made some highway classification edits here (changeset/184318643#map=11/47.5269/23.6805); changing highways to trunk, primary, and secondary. These classifications are usually reserved for roads that are part of the main national road network or roads that connect major or small cities and towns. These roads would be best classified as tertiary or below, please see the Ro:Map Features page for guidelines on highway classification in Romania - osm.wiki/Ro:Map_Features#Drumuri I plan to return these highways to their previous classifications.
