What do you mean by inaccessible ? In general, edits are supposed to reflect real-world objects and layouts rather than simply help routers. There's more informations on the basics good practices here osm.wiki/Good_practice. Specifically here, the proposed way crosses over a curb so the routing proposed by any router using this way would indicate for a user to cross the curb. I'm curious why you suggest adding a way rather than adding bicycle=permissive tags to the existing pedestrian crossings ? Most routers that have a destination that isn't directly accessible from a path route to the nearest point on an accessible way.

Feel free to edit certain trees from taxon to the appropriate genus and species tags if you are confident in the classification. The reason for using taxon was becuase it is the more general tag that can include in a single tag both genus and species or only genus and for certain trees only the genus was available so it would be incorrect to identify it as the species. Similarly, certain trees include variant and cultivar information which shouldn't be mapped with the species tag. Since I don't have as much experience with botany, I decided to put the information in the more general taxon tag to avoid mapping errors
