| 167226935 | 5 months ago | I think you were simply mistaken in this one case. node/13011166798. Bridges typically have headwalls or are paved. This is an unpaved road which has neither. I think I may agree with you in that my initial assessment was wrong and that the road seems to be at a higher elevation than the wash so there is probably a culvert which you may be able to see on Esri World Imagery. I just do not like iD because of this because it allows users to pick between a bridge and culvert where it places endpoints arbitrarily. You can essentially just click the button and it "fixes" it, leaving accuracy behind. |

| 163928585 | 9 months ago | Note as well that the forest service doc has trails that are being declared as no-longer maintained, but because I'm unaware of the validity of this in 2025, I am leaving them marked as operated by the Forest Service. |

| 154358465 | over 1 year ago | Hi cmxn, The general consensus in the community is that only railways with remaining remnants on the ground (such as a remaining grade as the bar minimum) should be mapped. Otherwise, these "abandoned" railways should not be mapped. However, this kind of work is perfect for OpenHistoricalMap at openhistoricalmap.org. There's some discussion on it here, if you're interested: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/proposing-to-deprecate-railway-razed-and-railway-dismantled/109679/64 I will probably delete the railways that you have mapped in a week or so or whenever you have had time to move them over to OHM. Thanks, BubbaJuice |
