I added this connection as there are two visible turn lanes in Mapbox Satellite and Esri World Imagery for drivers on the right lane and used this as justification that drivers on the far right lane can make a slight right turn onto the residential way while drivers in the other right lane can make a left onto the tertiary way. I noticed you removed this connection and I can defer to your edits if you believe these highways should be disconnected.
