Dear Lasagna,

I stand by all of my edits.....however, I cannot respond to all of your repetitive unsubstantiated challenges.
FOR THE RECORD:
With only a few exceptions, freeways in California are not named after people. They are named for the geography they pass through. (ie: Golden State Fwy, San Diego Fwy, Pacific Coast Hwy, Escondido Fwy, Del Dios Hwy). Now 2- 3 mile segments are dedicated to memorialize and honor fallen civic leaders and public safety personnel. Adding those segments to the general map would be chaotic and confusing for everybody invo;lved. At the end of the day, the goal of a map is identification of geographic places and routes to enhance navigation.
I know you admire Ted Williams dearly and that you are passionate about his legacy. And the City of San Diego renamed North City Pkwy in honor of their baseball hero. However, that street name does not extend to the freeway. Placing Ted Williams name on a freeway does nothing to help the average motorist get to where they want to go.
I bet that 99% of motorists in San Diego County have no clue about who Ron Packard or Ted Williams. Nor do they care.
They are certainly no Martin Luther King. Whose name wasconveyed upon the California 94 freeway, in honor of his significnt contributions to humanity.
