Mataró Bus	over 10 years ago	He provat fer-ho en la meva ciutat. El problema es que has de conèixer els carrers que pren el bus. No he pogut trobar aquesta informació en la web de la companyia. I es clar que pujar en el bus per a cada línia amb el GPS pren temps i organització. Un altre punt es que em sembla que no pots agafar la informació sense ser autoritzat a fer-ho per la llicencia ( i si no hi a llicencia vol dir que no pots fer-ho)

Just wondering, do you think it would be possible to have a rule mechanis (like the style sheets for the map) to determine what to print in the bubles and how to print it ?

Great Offley	almost 15 years ago	If you could do it 25 years ago, just do it now ! You have access to the database through the web API, you even have the source code for mapnik and osmarender. Get an el cheepo web server and make your tries... The bulk of rasterization is likely spent in anti-aliased lines, anti-aliased text, non convex shapes rendering, alpha transparency, etc. You can try to download an OSM pdf from the export tab, and the look when you do zoom how much time is required to redraw the whole map... Anyway mapnik can produce SVG and PDF, so the server could serve some vector format, you might get some "boundary" issues though.

TopOSM	almost 16 years ago	Holly crap, that is awesome ! That's the best ever digital map I've ever seen, we should definitely get that as one of the official layers is osm. Thanks for this amazing work. And you call that work in progress... cannot wait to see what you are going to improve.
