| 79465541 | almost 6 years ago | Hi, you keep re-adding landuse=industrial to the following building: way/561382719 I've previously tried to engage with you about this in this changeset: changeset/79119651 Adding landuse=industrial to this building is unnecessary and incorrect as it is already contained within a larger landuse of industrial. The building itself is also building=industrial so you are adding no additional information to the map. Can you please explain your reason for repeatedly readding this unnecessary tag. I would argue that the building itself should not be tagged with the landuse as it is a slightly larger area that is used industrially, including the loading bay for example. Mapping like this produces warnings in JOSM as it is not typical to tag buildings with a landuse, and also, the landuse is contained within a larger landuse. |
| 79119651 | about 6 years ago | Hi The_JF, there seems to be a bit of an edit war going on with the following building: way/561382719 You keep adding landuse=industrial to the building, however myself and another user have removed it multiple times. A number of editors (in particular JOSM) flag this up as an error because it's already within two other ways representing the landuse both as retail and as industrial. I think the correct way forward is to fix the two other landuse areas (including removing the overlap) and to not individually tag buildings with their landuse. I think it's a rare occurrence that an individual building should be tagged with landuse, i.e. only when that building represents the full extent of the (for example) industrial area. Thanks! I should also mention it's great to see another mapper adding lots of detail to the Leeds area! |
