Hello map_improver_xyz,

This was flagged in a Map Roulette that I am working on, but I saw that you had a question about reversing edits. I'll leave this as is since you are still actively working on this feature.

You can revert the current version of this feature back into a previous version by visiting this website: https://revert.monicz.dev/

Here's a wiki page on this: osm.wiki/Osm-revert

All you'll need is the changeset ID. I believe this will revert every single feature and object that went into the changeset.

Have a great rest of your day,
AntSom

Hello vng_me,

My manager talked with me about this area and they walked me through the edits. I changed the island's role from inner to outer and I removed a small segment from the relation. That took care of the issue that you had spotted.

Thanks again for reaching out to me.

Happy mapping,
AntSom

Hello Aleksandar Matejevic,

My manager walked me through the edits for this area and what we ended up doing was removing a small way from the relation and changing the inner roles to outer roles for this island.

Thanks for your time and have a great day,
AntSom

Hello Aleksandar Matejevic,

I received a message about the changeset that I made earlier this week for this area. I had made edits to resolve open gap errors that were present at that time for the Map Roulette Challenge Global - Fix Relations with Broken Geometries; https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/51634.

I took a look at the relation again and the validator showed the same error again. I'm not sure what edits you made to this location, but would you be willing to take a shot at resolving that open gap error or would you like for me to tackle that one?

Here's a link to the changeset conversation that I had with another mapper about this area that prompted me to reach out to you: changeset/174475085#map=17/68.841328/-67.791857

Sincerely,
AntSom

Hello vng_me,

Thanks for reaching out to me. All errors were resolved when I was editing this area earlier in the week. I'm not sure what edits were made for the edits that came in after the ones that I did, but it looks like the edits I made had been undone to some degree.

I pulled this up in JOSM and I checked the validator again and the same multi-polygon error popped up again.

I can reach out to @Aleksandar%20Matejevic and ask them for their feedback before making additional edits for this area.

Kind regards,
AntSom

Thanks for getting back to me about this. I wasn't sure about that detail.

You ask a great question. When I first started editing OSM data I asked someone I knew about that and they had a really nice explanation. Take for example a building with a courtyard in the centre of it. The outermost portion of the polygon would be marked as outer for the role, I like to call it a shell, while the polygon you would draw for the courtyard would be marked as inner for the role.

In this particular set up for these edits, I think the best course of action is to mark each of these as an outer role since they don't interact with each other unlike how they do from the example I described earlier.

If you would like to do some light reading, this wiki helped me understand how outer and inner roles work.

Here's the link: osm.wiki/Relation:multipolygon#Members

Sincerely,
AntSom

Hi Prosperosity,

I was taking a look at this changeset and there are multiple errors related to missing roles. Are all these tram railways, platforms, and the building around them all part of the museum? Can you take another look at the edits and resolve the errors that pop up?

Sincerely,
AntSom

Hi Luzandro,

Thanks for answering my question. I'll try and be more careful when I'm looking at the flagged features for this Map Roulette.

Hi mapperich,

Thanks for reaching out to me about this. This was automatically flagged as part of a Map Roulette task and I had adjusted it based on the imagery that I had available to me through OSM.

This is the Map Roulette that I work off of, it also contains a short summary of what its for: https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/51744

Here's a link to a Wiki that goes into some detail about vandalism and graffiti: osm.wiki/Vandalism

I can revert my edit, but since the building is demolished, would it be better to remove the feature completely?

Hi baby-banana,

Thank you for checking this out and for confirming the name in person. I was going off of the translated name that I saw when I was looking at the website for that place of business.

Have a great rest of your day,

Hi NorwayHouseMap,

I had a question about the edits you made in this area. Is this the preferred naming schema for address information in this area? From what I understand the address information is its own tagging scheme.

Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Hello DoloresReis,

Thanks for contributing to OSM.

I was looking at the "Multipolygon is not closed" error. I saw this pop up in JOSM's validator. Can you take a look at that? Based off of aerial imagery I can't determine where this park is.

Hi will_p,

Thanks for catching this. Based on the definition of name tags, it seemed to me that the feature was named after the feature type. If you believe that I made a wrong edit, I'd be happy to re-add the name tag.

Thanks,
Anthony
