And to your statement about sidewalks, we map them here, and there is one especially apparent in barcelona, our blocks are not always squares and are often octagons, if we told people that they could simply follow the road, that would be a routing inaccuracy of 15m per 133m, 112.5m/km or 196 yards per mile, personally, and I believe most of the local community agrees, that'd be quite unacceptable.

Now I have to redraw all the work I did 4 years ago, thank you.

You erased extremely necessary paths for routing engines, areas can't be routed over, easily, especially multipolygons, you also erased staircases!

Please disregard my comments about crossings, they should be named with the name of the street they are perpendicular to and thus it is not confusing.

154606103

As to the accusation that it goes against the international standard, it quite simply does not, an overpass query can show you that. Also the wiki explicitly refers to this method as being useful to connect pavements to streets due to the difficulty of automating this for a routing engine.

154606103

Crossings are owned by multiple streets and thus a name would be confusing.

If your data query is as simple as "name=thing", duplicates are not your issue, an overly simple data query is.

154606103

Mapping for a flawed data interpreter is about as flawed as mapping for the renderer.

154606103

The sidewalk is as much the street as the car section, thus they both have the same name.

The ways as mapped by whitepanda also don't correspond with reality

Badly pretending you're french doesn't hide your "locale=es" tag, ban evader.
