Changeset When Comment

Hello dknelson9876,
The project I'm working on required editing each changeset with pretty much the same scheme. I switched it up depending on the kind of feature being interacted with and whether it was added or modified. I thought I was being detailed enough with that. Perhaps you could give me insight into your process and goal(s) so that I might ensure we are collaborating most effectively.

Best regards,

Hey,

Welcome to OSM! It appears you are a relatively new mapper. I thought I'd offer some corrections to your edits. It appears you changed the building type for way/839751732 from cathedral to church. Was there a reason for this? Also, it appears a few tags were removed from the building and placed on the new amenity node. The amenity repeats data from the building when it is usually simpler and cleaner to only have a single set of tags attached to the building. That varies when multiple amenities inhabit a building. Anyway, I hope you are having fun and I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Hello,
Thank you for your comment. While your comment is well received, I must say that to go the multipolygon route would significantly shift the local convention currently in use. Numerous landuse polygons in the immediate vicinity do not use multipolygons despite the fact that they cross highways. My edit that affected the polygon was to add the landuse=religious tag. This makes it more in conformity with the surroundings. I wanted to respect the original editors to the greatest extent possible by leaving their polygon as it was as much as I could. I welcome further discussion and hope my comment has addressed your concern.

Sincerely,

SekeRob,

Thanks for the notification. I will change this to fit the convention and review previous work to do the same. I appreciate your help.

You are correct. I did make this error. I have corrected my other website_1 tags I added as well. I did not realize at the time this was a flawed tagging system. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Cheers
