As far as I know, there isn’t an official route called “Sentier Côtier” on this section. But from Beg er Goalennec up to Beg en Aud, most of the ways already had the tags

name:br=Gwenodenn-aod

Not all of them though – smaller pieces like steps, bridges, and boardwalks were missing.
The main purpose of creating the relation was to preserve the name and apply it consistently to the whole trail through membership, rather than repeating the name tags on each individual segment.

Would you consider this an appropriate approach? If there’s a better way, I’m all ears 🙂

Cependant pas tous : certains petits morceaux comme les escaliers, passerelles ou caillebotis en étaient dépourvus.
L’objectif principal de la création de la relation était donc de conserver ce nom et de l’appliquer de manière cohérente à l’ensemble du parcours via la relation, plutôt que de répéter les tags sur chaque segment.

Thanks for the explanation, that clears things up a lot. I’ll use JOSM for this route and keep an eye on continuity with the Waymarkedtrails inspector so I don’t mess it up again. Appreciate your patience!

Sorry I messed up the relation, and sorry for the late reply. I fetched the route and several others in hiking.waymarkedtrails.org and I can see the continuity and member order mess I created. iD really is not great for complex route relations, lesson learned. I would really appreciate your advice on how to manage this very fragile route. Thanks again, and sorry for the trouble.
