source is web (meijer website), not survey

By the way, the River Trail is mapped as a combined cycle and foot path by bicycle=designated and foot=designated. So because it is combined, highway=path should be used over highway=cycleway, unless you prefer to map the sections where they are actually segregated within MSU as two separate paths, in which case you can map the bicycle portion as highway=cycleway and the foot portion as highway=footway. Until then, please keep the River Trail as highway=path (or start a discussion about this amongst other Michigan mappers).

The page for Michigan on the OSM Wiki states "Most trails and paths in Michigan are multi-use. Often with rules posted specifying foot traffic has the right-of-way. These are NOT cycleways. When in doubt start with highway=path." See here: osm.wiki/Michigan#Paths_/_Trails

Aenet

source should be “web”

to be clearer, stops as in stop signs

If possible in the future, can you upload changesets that are located in many far away places separately? It helps when local users are trying to see what changes have been made recently in their area to not have so many large changesets that don't actually affect their area showing up on the map. Thank you.

Why are you referring to the Gwinn Unit as invisible in all your changeset comments?

I might also suggest checking out the server @ https://master.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org for making test edits.

wrong edit summary, should be “25 mph for curve”

Hmm. Maybe an issue should be made to consider a less saturated or lighter blue for regions where cycling legality is yes in general instead of no so that it doesn’t appear as if all roads and sidewalks are cycle lanes. I should also maybe look at changing those tags I’ve added to sidewalks to something that just refers to the legal description instead of being explicit cycle yes. I’ll have to look around to see what tags would be appropriate for that. Maybe I’ll ask around in the lists.

I reverted my change to how it was before until I am able to survey plus ask the city about detailed opening hours and fee hours.

That’s understandble. Should I should guess and put the bike rack or bench as close to the bus stop as possible if I’m not surveying the location myself? I also see bench:yes/no as an acceptable tag for bus stops on the highway:bus_stop page. I’m just getting the info about whether there is a bike rack or bench from cata.org. Should even benches within shelters be mapped separately, in your opinion?

Sounds good, thank you. I'm not going to fix it right away, but I will once I add them to the route relation. Those stops are only part of a single route so hopefully it shouldn't cause any issues before I fix it

added *the* older one to the bus route [CATA route 1].

Oops, I guess I forgot to check if I had all my ways downloaded there, I didn't see that there was already a link. I removed it and added to older one to the bus route.

West end*, near CTC

Also adds missing roads to east end of route 1

I posted a discussion about the topic on the Michigan discussion page

I'll come back to this when I have more time, but for now:
> It is my understanding, by default in Michigan, as long as they are moving, people are allowed to walk on any roadway not designated as a freeway.

MCL 257.655 states " Where sidewalks are provided, a pedestrian shall not walk upon the main traveled portion of the highway. Where sidewalks are not provided, pedestrians shall, when practicable, walk on the left side of the highway facing traffic which passes nearest." with highway meaning any roadway
