I've only been to a peak nearby at this stage and nothing was obvious. It may have had a stone carin and wooden pole or just been a prominent rock when surveyed and shown on W M Hardy plans 1889-1890.

hi, I'm not suggesting a change to Asbestos Range as that has an offical definition on Placenames. This is the highest peak on that range and includes the remains of 1853 survey cairn placed in James Sprent. There is an unoffical Mt Asbestos on placenames or maybe it could be "Asbestos" but tagged as peak?
