Bei website=* steht inzwischen "Use the HTTPS version when available, as it enhances security and privacy for users." Und das aus gutem Grund. Egal ist das nicht, weil die Browser zwar ein Schema ergänzen, dann aber vielleicht http statt https und das ist aus Privacy-Gründen die schlechtere Alternative.

Afaik there is no tag contact:wordpress. But the point is, if you control your own website its is worth tagging that as website.
And website urls should be as short as possible.
For those who only have a facebook site there is a separate tag: contact:facebook. Perhaps we should go on diskussing that on website=*

https://www.facebook.com is a website. Every partial url on facebook is just a webpage, its neither a homepage, just a subpage of something that the operator facebook can change whenever Facebook wants to. The contact:facebook-tag is there for reasons and my changes did improve the values of those nodes/ways/... by even checking the availability of those urls when they were redirections on facebook.
Whats is provable: Facebook changes its URLs when they want to and they did in some places.

"some taggers prefer to.. " is quite soft. sounds like "that one is okay, too". but when both ones are okay and maproulett makes a challenge for the new contact:facebook, then things could possibly start to get changed. and now i get blamed for that. thats a little odd.
the challenge is separated in countries. e.g. for germany it is: https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/16122

on wikidata they have a process to apply for bot edits. tons of maproulette-jobs are stupid enough to be done by mechanical edits: phone/fax-numbers, move all key-a to key-b, and so on. do you know github repos of tools? should we establish one?

Maproulette tells: "There is an extra tag for facebook pages: 'contact:facebook'. Even if a place does not have a website, the website tag is not intended for a Facebook page."

Ciao Andream i hope i may answer in english. I do those edit by very little pieces to watch every changed url and check it for http-status: 200 if i change it. i change a maximum of 15 url in one take and look for all urls. nevertheless: i use overpass-turbo to find this common mistake and so all edited places are grouped to gether and it looks very automatically. are you familiar with overpass, osm-xml-data and python, than i would really love to talk to you a little more.

(Ich hol schon Daten, bei denen Website kein Schema enthält)

ja ich prüfe, ob die Seite aufrufbar ist.
Die URLs ohne Schema werden in zwei Varianten um https und http ergänzt und dann wird deren Aufrufbarkeit getestet.

Erst wenn die Variante mit Schema aufrufbar ist, wird sie in die Korrekturliste aufgenommen.

(Hierbei gewinnt im Zweifelsfall die https-Variante)

Jede URL wird getestet und ich gehe von Hand durch die Korrekturliste um etwaige Weiterleitungsergebnisse doch nicht aufzunehmen. Negativbeispiel ist hier Facebook, bei denen die URLs zwar erreichbar sind, aber oft auf Seiten geleitet werden, die mit dem Node inhaltlich nichts mehr zu tun haben.
