Hello Mateusz Konieczny,
Thanks for reaching out with the question.

After checking the history, I noticed that this edit was made about two years ago when I was still a new mapper. At that time, I was also working on the Hasiru Aqua Small Pond Mapping – Karnataka, India Part 2 project
(Project link: https://tasks.hotosm.org/projects/14659/instructions), where the instructions specifically required using man_made=pond. It seems I unintentionally carried that tagging over while switching between tasks.

I agree the correct tagging here should be natural=water + water=pond. I updated the tagging to reflect that.

Thanks again, if there’s anything else needed just reach out.

Hi NLBRT,

Thank you very much for acknowledging this. I am always happy to contribute to improving the map.
These edits were made using TomTom proprietary GPS traces. I will ensure to mention proprietary sources more clearly in my future edits, when used.

Hi YraFyra,
Thank you for reaching out and making the corrections.
The geometry was re-added based on Public GPS Traces: changeset/172595407#map=17/55.678220/13.179538&layers=G and official information from the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), which indicated the planned road layout and construction details for the E22 Lund Södra and Väg 108 project: https://www.trafikverket.se/vara-projekt/projekt-i-skane-lan/e22-lund-sodra-och-vag-108/#dokumentand
I understand that the area is currently under construction, and the on-ground situation would differ from both the previous and the planned layouts. Thanks for clarifying.
I also realized before my edits, some route relations were broken due to the construction. Are there any sources regarding the affected route relations as well? I would be happy to collaborate on that and offer my help, if needed.

Hi kapazao,
Thank you for reaching out and making the corrections. We will take your feedback into account for our future edits in Spain. Is there a Wiki article or a forum thread that we can refer to regarding this community practice?”

Hi dknelson9876,
Thank you for your valuable feedback and the nudge. It slipped by me while I was focusing on multiple brand names in OSM which were improperly separated. I will be more aware of US place names in my future edits.

Hi Famlam,
Thank you very much for your queries about opening date and also about the sources of my edits. I have realized that while copying tags, I’ve unintentionally changed highway classification as well, so I got the changeset reverted back to the previous state. I will be more careful about this in my future edits.
I will also take caution to communicate it clearer when the local knowledge is coming from third party individuals within TomTom, not myself. I fully understand your skepticism on this matter.
Regarding the opening dates, I have cited the information on Winkelsteeg hoofdinfrastructuur ... . Please let me know if this information is not accurate, and you have other resources or ground truth citing August as the opening date.

Hi Maplev,
Thank you very much for pointing this out. The bounding box size is something I pay attention to on my edits but this time I was distracted and it slipped past me.
Changeset reverted and I have reapplied the edits in separate changesets. I'll will take extra caution on bounding box size to prevent a reoccurrence.

Hi rskedgell,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I did another review and was unable to confirm whether these roads existed. However, based on your feedback that the roads are clearly present in OS and UPRN I have made the corrections and tagged the restored roads as highway=construction + construction=residential per your suggestion.

Hi rskedgell,
Thank you for sharing your analysis. I did make an incorrect edit, I used Bing streetside imagery and TomTom ground level imagery which do not confirm any access=private signage. The signage on ‘Exley Lane’ only restricts transit access for motorized vehicles, so the best tag to apply in this case is motor_vehicle=destination. I have made the corrections on the pavement adding tag foot=designated and cycleway=designated from 53.689706, -1.840690 to 53.689863, -1.840655. I did review the public notice you shared https://publicnoticeportal.uk/notice/traffic-and-roads/66740bf61f8fcbe76050a3eb and from my understanding this appears to have expired both as stated at the top of the document plus the specific Exley Lane notice informs that the road re-opened on 29th June, 2024. I am happy to receive your feedback on both the corrective edit and my understanding of the public notice.

Hi rskedgell,
I have made the corrections as per your suggestion, by removing the access=private and added access=destination and ownership=private on The Marld. Your comments were really helpful to me to understand the nuanses of the access tag. There is training planned for my colleagues and me covering access restrictions in OSM with GBR examples to avoid making similar mistakes again. Thank you.

Hi Tjuro,

Thank you for sharing the link to the information and .jos download for the best imagery in Netherlands. I will share this with my colleagues and ensure that our materials are also updated to avoid using sub-optimum imagery again in Netherlands.

Also, thank you for making the corrections to the tags which I had neglected to update in my edit.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your feedback. I mistakenly changed the highway class value from primary to secondary and I will take care in future to avoid making the same mistake again.
