Thank you for resolving my note - can you explain what changes you actually made to the map before you marked the note as resolved ?
The road runs under a number of buildings forming a tunnel - have these buildings now been demolished so the road is no longer covered ?
In fact having just checked your profile, I see you have not provided a single edit to the map - so are you just resolving other peoples notes without any form of action !
I don't understand what the original intent of this note is. Does Cart Road pass through a tunnel? If so this is not clear from the imagery, unless it passes under a short section of the hospital building. Could you please clarify?
Hi Keith - yes, when I was there 2 years ago, I noted that the buildings had been extended over Cart road, with a Bus terminal of sorts added on the Southern side. I left a note to update the map at a later date.
Unfortunately, when reviewing later, the aerial imagery had not been updated to show the correct location of the newly formed tunnel, and as of today, its still not been updated.
I was hoping a local mapper might correct and delete the note, but when some newbie just resolved it without comment or reason, I was miffed and hence the reactivation.
Its not an important edit, so if you are local and feel the comment is too old, then I'm OK if you mark as resolved.
Cheers.
I don't think it's too old, I think it will be very useful to have it once the imagery becomes available. Or If you feel that you can estimate the new building geometry feel free to make the edit now, and just add a `fixme` tag to the outline to update when imagery becomes available.
Unfortunately I'm not in the area myself, and it's been more than 2 years since I've been anywhere in India.
Thank you for adding some more information, and clarifying your original note.
