The townlands are sourced from this map - http://maps.openstreetmap.ie/?zoom=16&lat=52.75444&lon=-6.70734&layers=B00TTFFFFFFFFFFF and looks to be mapped correctly.
Thanks. According to the British War Office 1:25k GSGS 3906 map (http://maps.openstreetmap.ie/oocmaps.html?zoom=16&lat=52.75532&lon=-6.70627&layers=000B0TFFFTF), the townland of "Ardattin" starts on the opposite side on the L2020 and this is located in the townland of "Ballynoe or Newtown"
That may be correct for the townland, but I was speaking about the settlement/village... search for "Ardattin, Carlow" here: http://map.geohive.ie/mapviewer.html
oh, so the settlement is known locally as Ardattin?
what is the church called? and is that a shop at the road junction?
whats the school called?
