Up Tongue Loanen, around onto the Islandmagee Peninsula; finished off all the main roads there; down into Whitehead, added more streets.

As people have probably noticed, we had a small accident about ten days ago which caused some of the metadata for uploaded GPX traces to be lost. We do still have the trace files, we just don't know who uploaded some of them.

In order to help associate the files we have with the right users it would be helpful if people could send me a list of the traces they have and some details about them so I can try and match them up to the files we have on the server.

To help with this there is a tool available in subversion - you can download it here:

It is a perl script which will generate an XML file listing all the traces it finds. You should run it as follows:

listTraces.pl [display-name] [public?] [directory]

It will recursively search the named directory for GPX traces and generate a file named tracelist.xml which you can review and then send to me at tomh@openstreetmap.org to be matched up against the files we hold.

The [display-name] argument should match your display name on OSM and the [public?] argument should be either 0 or 1 to indicate if you wish the traces to made public or not - ie whether they should be visible to people other than you on the site.

The OPSI have confirmed that there is nothing to stop me comparing the DfT's list of green roads against our list of green roads, and correcting things based on it.

Just completed the (probably nonsensical) job of entering the layout of our botanical garden with Potlatch.

Playing with potlatch made me notice that Glasgow has Yahoo imagery. Nice.

Am Kloster von Wienhausen war gestern und heute Weihnachtsmarkt. Man wundert sich, wieviel Esoterikstände zu sehen waren. Auch schamanische Heilungen kann man bei Bedarf bekommen. Nunja - die Freundin freute sich über die kleinen Buden und das Kloster im Hintergrund, ich habe ein paar Fotos gemacht. Einige Straßen sind neu erschlossen worden, und bei dem wunderbaren Wetter um die Mittagszeit konnten ein paar Stichstraßen an den Eyßelheidewegt angebaut werden sowie der Fußweg nördlich und der Feldweg südlich des Allerkanals vermessen werden.
Hillerse, Leiferde, Dalldorf, Volkse, der Hähnchenschnellweg nach Ohof und einiges in der Gegend sind jetzt auch vermessen. Erstaunlich,w ie wenig da noch vorhanden ist bei OSM.

I've just taken a first hack at the afore-mentioned city centre, but my GPS tracks were pretty rough due to poor signal.

Most of the roads are there, but none of the pedestrianisation has been marked up yet, so don't just assume you can drive those 'unclassified' streets!

Mapped most of Čakovice yesterday morning, including the new housing estate. I takes almost as much time to click the data in OSM as it takes to actually walk around the area, sigh.

Trying to finnihs off my unfinnished work in Årsta

Taggar Skog och vägar som jag känner till, och kompletterar mina gamla GPS track så all hemska ostandard taggar ska försvinna.

Added the some of the major roads around Dunmurry and mapped a lot the back roads up towards Lisburn, Glenavy, and Antrim. This area was fairly blank, but now has most of the main interconnecting roads mapped out with hooks left for me to easily spot what else needs done.

Added some details to Wooburn Green/Beaconsfield area.
