mapping in Nepal
Hello WojtekK, this looks like a mass import, was it discussed before the execution, as the guidelines require? See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Guidelines
Beside from undocumented tags and copyright aspects your import introduce countless place node duplicates with poor spatial quality. Positional errors of hundreds of meters are not uncommon, i.e. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5669411272 vs https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5261900314
May I suggest, that you consider reverting the corresponding change sets and discuss this import first with the local community at https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=81
This seems like a massive import. We are currently mapping the northwest of this area (Simikot). Villages have already been mapped. It leads to :
Duplicates throughout the area with villages already mapped with the same name (or almost)
-severly several meters away from the location of the village
-problem on the administrative scale (village / hamlet)
Could you review this import?
I asked the DWG to revert the relevant change sets, see also https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=62738
This changeset has been reverted fully or in part by changesets 59992992, 59992627, 59993205, 59992802 where the changeset comment is: revert undiscussed import of OCHA place names in Nepal, with unclear license situation, useless tags, bad positional accuracy, lack of conflation, and no reaction from importer to community questions in https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/59598339
