Thank you so much for your feedback! It also looks like you already committed this change... much appreciated. I'm new and having a bit of a trouble understanding the node change based on the history displayed in the web browser... did I have two nodes in the same spot which you merged? Is there some way to easily see nodes which could be merged in the editor?

There some tools like https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=54254208 . But to be honest, you need a better tool than the editor iD to detect duplicate points. I only discovered it in the end.
