Hey Jherome. Thanks for this massive clean-up.
Just wondering, isn't foot=yes and bicycle=yes the default for anything other than motorways? Adding this tags seems highly redundant, especially for highway segments that already have sidewalk or cycleway tags.

I don't think so from how some routers handle them. Take for example OSRM, which equals trunk with motorway-like roads/expressways in Western Europe or North America, that basically makes them not usable for bike and pedestrian routing unless you tag them explicitly (as like what is being done in the US as they move from a usage of trunk based on construction to one based on importance).

Thanks for pointing this out! The commonly stated phrase that only motorways have implied access restrictions really doesn't seem to hold up.

Likewise, Sir Timmy and Sir Jherome, in case of further highway=trunk tagging, we need to consider the separation of the sidewalks and/or bicycle paths (as needed via KartaView, Mapillary, Maxar) where existing railings or concrete jersey barriers (in case of most urban cities) could require us to independently map as such. In case of in-highway bicycle lane on divided highway, bicycle=yes, cycleway:[left/right]=lane, cycleway:[left/right]:separation:[left/right]=solid_line/bollard could work properly for most cases.

I'm not a fan of mapping sidewalks as separate ways and we generally do not do that here in the Philippines, but yes, we can have an exception if it's separated by impassable barrier (usually railing) or boulevard/grass strip.
On bike lanes, these should be mostly a road attribute, not a separate way. I’ve been remapping a lot of those which has been. Please remap the EDSA bike lanes; these should be at best tagged as road attribute.
Off-topic, but also related to your mapping of present EDSA is some problems with mapping Busway. There's actually no separated bus lane south of Estrella, and existing mapping is inaccurate.

(Just missed a few more words) On bike lanes, these should be mostly a road attribute, not a separate way. I’ve been remapping a lot of those which has been mapped separately but is not separated by physical barrier. Please remap the EDSA bike lanes; these should be at best tagged as road attribute.

Will check on both busway post-activation of #EDSACarousel Buendia station/bus stop (where it is present), and ongoing reintegration of cycleway into main highway=trunk in phases as part of collaborated clean-ups.

Also don't forget removing verifying presence of concrete barrier on busway from Estrella to MOA. Some sections are separated only by painted yellow line(s) (sometimes mistaken for concrete barrier when mapping from aerial photo, as previous mapping of GenSan-Koronadal as divided), that are better tagged as lane change restriction. Check also latest Mapillary.
