Dear user Giorgi1967,

you seem to have misunderstood how OSM works. A place can have many names in many different languages, that’s what our “name:xx” (with xx being a language code) tags are for. For example, the town of ბიჭვინთა (Bichvinta) is called “Pezonda” in Italian. This was recorded in OSM, and you removed it, along with a host of other name tags on different objects.

Additionally, your edits seem politically motivated (“All toponyms in Georgia must be and will be in Georgian.”); OpenStreetMap does not subscribe to that rule, but instead attempts to map what is on the ground in a specific place. This means that if you enter a town in Georgia and the city sign has a Russian name on it, then that’s what’d OSM would map as the primary name.

Please consult https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/w/images/d/d8/DisputedTerritoriesInformation.pdf for further details about naming.

Your edits amount to vandalism and will be removed. Please do not attempt to recreate them without first arguing your case with the wider OSM community. If you should receive changeset comments from users, as happened in http://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/35196194 for example, don’t ignore them - they are a sign that you might be doing something wrong.

OSM has all the information to create a map with exclusively Georgian names, and if you wish to do that, I’m sure the community at help.openstreetmap.org will be willing to tell you how.
