Not everybody cares, but we do. We care a lot.

I maintain 3000 single point POIs. Yet everybody seems to know better how to do it. I have never met someone who maintains 1000 POIs.

OpenData for drinking water refill stations

It is much too quick for my understanding and learning to try it myself. Of course I could record it with my smartphone.

OpenData for drinking water refill stations

Why do you make short videos of it ? It is impossible to go back in time.

How does it look in 3D ?

Road Curve Mapping Tips

I hate when the map in my region has a childish look.

Road Curve Mapping Tips

If you have an official map, maybe the official centerline is the best.

A visit to Baarle-Hertog/Nassau

I also estimated the defibrillator at one meter from the column.

A visit to Baarle-Hertog/Nassau

That is one of the many advantages of making pictures, which I now did. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/10887113440#map=19/51.43635/4.93124&layers=D I just now realised that I mapped the other defibrillators on Dutch soil.

That defibrillator is not mapped.

The MapComplete user survey results: Part 3: brand recognition and conclusions

Mapcomplete is the easiest way to add Imgur pictures.

Using map notes for a guided import - 'Pin je punt' one year later

I start my notes with keywords, then the place and then the description and link.

This way, I can easily filter with Notesreview, but only up to 100 notes.

In Osmand, I can also immediately see the notes I am interested in without clicking into the detail.

OpenStreetMap is in trouble

By they way, on the Google Play page, they seem to use Google Maps.

OpenStreetMap is in trouble

This is a bit of an off topic comment. I clicked on “aed” in your text. I was surprised to arrive in the EVapp app.

By chance, last weekend I made a trip to Hoogstraten to map the last four AEDs. I discovered that there were 7 more new AEDs. They are listed on the website of the town. I made the famous “AED mapillary” notes for them.

I do not believe too much in EVapp for Flanders. But Hoogstraten is rural and close to the Netherlands. Maybe there it makes some sense.

But no effort has been done to put the AEDs on OSM.
To map https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/3545664#map=17/51.39556/4.76052 I would have to visit during a working day.

So, they officially introduce EVapp in Hoogstraten, but no one thinks about mapping the AEDs in OSM.

Why you should try Every Door

Every door ? Even in Brussels, not every door is a shop, as we know by experience. :)

How OSM stopped me from caring for the defibrillators.

/* Defibrillators in Flanders outdoors or 24/7 and indoors with Mapillary */ [out:json][timeout:25]; {{geocodeArea:vlaanderen}}->.searchArea; ( node[“emergency”=”defibrillator”][“indoor”!=”yes”][“access”!=”private”]“mapillary”; node[“emergency”=”defibrillator”][“indoor”=”yes”][“access”!=”private”][“opening_hours”=”24/7”]“mapillary”; ); // print results out body; >; out skel qt;

Outdoor AEDs count as an index of the quality of life in a city. Brussels only has one outside.

Every emergency should have its mapillary.

OpenAedMap.org initiative.

Yes, but on the humanitarian layer only. They are seldom sought for. They are not landmarks. Sometimes they are hard to find. They can be displaced.

Mapcomplete is good for adding survey dates and Imgur pictures. It can be good if you know it well but then you can as well learn ID. I must correct almost every AED that is created with Mapcomplete. The accompanying tags are also not explained and confusing for AEDs.
