Every person I met at the conference has furnished me with good memories and It was very delight to meet many innovative people at the same platform across the globe. Youth mappers, HOT Indonesia Team, University Students, Many govt and private organizations, mapping communities are few among them. I am so happy to make few good friend Rashmitha Patro, Subhash Dulla, Silvia, Yeni, Shahrukh Farhan, Akash and many more.

The speakers at the conference has shared their knowledge on involving different platforms and new technologies in OpenStreetMap. It gave me immense knowledge seeing that OSM is being used in our daily lives. I was also inspired knowing people’s involvement during disaster management and boosted me to be more active and volunteer during disasters.

I have shared the main goal of this project that is to provide accessible data of accurate health care information from the Open Government Data directories which can be useful for all the people and also the Humanitarian team in India. The source dataset is taken from open government data https://data.gov.in/. which has published three directories with huge list of medical facility records which includes Hospitals, Clinics, Blood Banks, Health centers, Dentists, Rural hospitals, sub centers etc.. in India.

According to the OGD these data were published on 10th August, 2017 contributed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Health and Family Welfare,The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW).

Workflow We have put our efforts to cleaning and converting the Government datasets to OSM compatibility tagging before adding them to OSM.

We have attempted a pilot survey for the quality check of the government data at our local regions and records 3k plus of health facilities in Telangana State. image

Also participated to contributed the MapRoulette Challenges to the community or the local users to add the known health facilities to OSM. https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/8000 https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/8186 https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/8023 https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/8020

Thanks to sawan Shariar for being the best in all the arrangements till the end of the conference. Happy Mapping

Background of the Challange:

The challenge is to improve the health care information in India which can be beneficial for the people in need. In order to do so we need to re-position the coordinate with their actual ground truth position (If they are not at the actual position) with the help of local knowledge and add the Additional Tags from the MR Properties to the amenity.

Use Maproulette and Josm in order to add or modify hospital and all other sorts of health facilities records in OSM.

Instructions:
